Who we are
howtogetridofpimples.org is published by Artha Capital, registered with the Dutch Chamber of Commerce (KvK) under number 97349860, Haarlemmerweg 888, 1014 BL Amsterdam, the Netherlands. We are responsible for the data described here. You can reach us at privacy@howtogetridofpimples.org.
What we collect
- Visit statistics: which page you view, the site that sent you, how long and how far you read, which links and buttons you click, and technical details of your browser and device (such as screen size, language and time zone).
- Your choice in the pimple-type picker: it stays in your browser. If you then click through to the analysis, the type you picked is added to that link.
- Server logs: IP address, browser type and requested pages, kept by our hosting provider for security and to keep the site running.
Statistics with Amplitude
We send visit statistics through our own address (/api/e) to Amplitude, stored in Amplitude's EU data center. Your IP address is passed on so Amplitude can work out country and city. To link pages within one visit, your browser keeps a random visit number in the tab's session storage. It is deleted when you close the tab, so we don't link a later visit to an earlier one. We don't set cookies for this. If you visit from the European Union, statistics only start after you allow them in the notice at the bottom of the page.
The link to acne.today
Buttons such as "Start my analysis" go through howtogetridofpimples.org/go/analysis to acne.today, a separate paid service. That address tells acne.today that you came from this site and which button you used. What happens on acne.today, including any photo you upload and any payment, falls under acne.today's own privacy policy.
Legal bases
- Visit statistics for visitors in the EU: your consent. For other visitors: our legitimate interest in knowing how the site is used.
- Security and running the site: our legitimate interest.
- Answering your emails: taking the steps you ask for.

How long we keep data
Server logs: at most 90 days. Emails: as long as needed to handle your question, at most two years.
Sharing
We share data only with Amplitude for statistics and with our hosting provider, as far as needed. We don't sell data.
Your rights
You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict and move your data, and to object. Send your request to privacy@howtogetridofpimples.org; we reply within four weeks. You can also file a complaint with the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens) or the authority where you live.
Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest change.
